Dr.Nez Elik, Ph.D., C.Psych
Dr. Nez Elik is the founder of the clinic. She works with children, adolescents, caregivers, and adults. She is registered as a school, clinical, and health psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed her Ph.D. in 2006 in School and Clinical Child Psychology program at OISE, University of Toronto.

Our centre does not provide crisis services. In case of emergency, please go to the nearest walk-in clinic, emergency room, or call your family doctor or 911. We provide brief consultation on the phone within work days and hours.
Our intake process starts with a phone call in response to your initial inquiry, where we talk about the goodness of fit and answer your questions. Intake forms are sent via our secure electronic healthcare system (Jane), so we can review essential information before the initial session, to increase our efficiency during the session time. The initial session focuses on providing information on the consent, confidentiality, and limits to confidentiality, clarifying goals, and planning the service to reach your goals.
Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time, and have a seat in the waiting area of Roots in Wellness (we lease space within this practice). If the main door is locked (weekends and after hours), please call or text our phone number (289-700-6074), and we will open the door right away.
Your privacy and comfort is our priority. Please reach out to us with any questions.
Private psychological services are not covered by the OHIP. Our fees are consistent with the rate suggested by the Ontario Psychological Association. Our services are reimbursed by extended health care insurance, similar to physical therapy or dental services. The portion of the service fee that you pay yourself is claimable as a tax deduction on your income tax as a health expense.
We offer direct billing via eClaims to the majority of the insurance companies and the paperwork is taken care of for you, just like when you go to the pharmacy or the dentist.
