        Psychoeducational and Psychodiagnostic Assessments<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        Psychoeducational assessments include intellectual (cognitive), academic, personality, social, emotional, and behavioural tests and questionnaires that give information on cognitive processing deficits and other biopsychosocial factors contributing to various learning and behavioural difficulties. It can also identify strengths and intellectual potential in individuals. The goal is to provide academic planning recommendations that can be easily implemented in schools, universities, and at home. A psychoeducational assessment can be completed for young children for early intervention, as well as newcomers to Canada (by focusing on nonverbal intellectual functioning and basic cognitive processes that are mostly independent of language). It may result in diagnoses such as Specific Learning Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or Generalized Anxiety Disorder, or there may be no diagnoses but helpful recommendations to maximize intellectual and academic potential.<\/p>

        A psychodiagnostic assessment prepared by a qualified psychologist can identify and\/or diagnose biopsychosocial factors that impact an individual\u2019s development, behaviour, socioemotional functioning and personality. A comprehensive assessment can offer helpful and usable recommendations. We offer a wide range of assessments to children, adolescents and adults.<\/p>

        We provide psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments by qualified psychologists, which are accepted by school boards for students presenting with learning, behavioural, and intellectual needs. A psychological assessment of any kind entails objectivity, the seeking of evidence from many sources, and the realization that many factors impact human functioning. Such assessments are complex and involve testing and interview, as well as observation and school visit, in some cases. An experienced and closely supervised psychometrist may help in the testing portion of the assessments.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
